Monia Vial

As a pharmacist with more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Monia has a passion for science and marketing.

Monia was appointed Senior Vice President, Rare Disease Franchise Head for our North America Business Unit in January of 2024. In her role, she is responsible for fostering the growth of the Rare Disease Franchise specifically in the U.S. market. Monia joined Ipsen in June 2018 as the Head of Global Commercial Rare Disease and has held multiple roles of increasing responsibility and diverse experiences including Global Head of New Products and Rare Disease Franchise Strategy, Vice President Head of U.S. Oncology Strategy and Vice President, Head of Oncology Marketing. Prior to joining Ipsen, Monia worked for Shire Pharmaceuticals where she held senior marketing positions across various disease areas at both affiliate and global levels in different regions and positions.

She is a team leader with a strong track record in developing successful strategies and executional plans.

Monia holds a master’s degree in marketing from HEC Business school in Paris.
