W dniach 9 – 10 marca 2023 r. w Międzynarodowym Centrum Kongresowym w Katowicach odbył się VIII Kongres Wyzwań Zdrowotnych, który obok Forum Rynku Zdrowia jest jedną z największych w Polsce debat poświęconych ochronie zdrowia.
Ipsen Poland, obok innych firm, był jednym ze sponsorów tego wydarzenia. Firmę reprezentowała Ioana Parsons – Dyrektor Generalna Ipsen Poland, biorąc udział w panelu: „To oni zarządzają firmami farmaceutycznymi w Polsce. Jak widzą nasz rynek?”
W debacie, obok GM-ów firm farmaceutycznych, uczestniczył również Minister Zdrowia oraz Prezes Agencji Oceny Technologii Medycznych i Taryfikacji. Wspólnie dyskutowano o ważności polskiego rynku, dostępie do innowacji oraz o inicjatywach firm farmaceutycznych – realizowanych w Polsce. Ioana Parsons opowiedziała o aspiracjach firmy by w Polsce stworzyć Innovation Hub poprzez wdrażanie projektów służącym polskim pacjentom takich jak np. program wsparcia pacjentów ze spastycznością (PSP). Kolejnym kluczowym przesłaniem była potrzeba ewolucji ram legislacyjnych, aby przyspieszyć wdrażanie rozwiązań obejmujących terapie skojarzone oraz rozwiązania niedotyczące bezpośrednio leków tj. usługi dla pacjentów czy technologie uzupełniające dla leków.

On March 9 and 10, 2023, the 8th Health Challenges Congress took place in Katowice. Together with the Health Market Forum in October, this is one of the most important debates on health care in Poland.
Ipsen Poland, together with other companies, was one of the sponsors of this event. Our company was represented by Ioana Parsons – General Manager of Ipsen Poland, taking part in the panel: „They manage pharmaceutical companies in Poland. How do they see our market?”
In addition to Ioana Parsons and other GMs, the debate was attended by the Minister of Health and the President of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariffications. The importance of the Polish market, access to innovations and initiatives of companies in Poland were discussed. Ioana talked about Ipsen’s aspiration to create an Innovation Hub in Poland by implementing projects that serve Polish patients, with a ‘test & learn approach’, such as our Spasticity Patient Support Program (PSP). Ioana also mentioned the already started cooperation with Warsaw Health Innovation Hub established by Polish State Medical Research Agency. Other key message was the need for the legislative framework to evolve to accelerate the implementation of ‘beyond the drug’ solutions such as services for patients, technologies complementing the drugs and – last but not least – solutions involving multiple drugs, i.e., combination therapies.
