Building a Sustainable Future: Ipsen’s Journey with the United Nations Global Compact
The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative that calls on CEOs worldwide to implement universal sustainability principles and support the United Nations (UN) goals. By joining the UN Global Compact, companies commit to aligning their strategies and operations with ten fundamental principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, while also contributing to broader societal objectives.
We, at Ipsen, take great pride in our ongoing support of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a commitment we have upheld since 2012. This year, we have once again renewed our pledge with the submission of our letter of commitment and completed the 2024 questionnaire. Our sustainable growth strategy, embodied by Generation Ipsen and aligned with the sustainable development goals, unites our efforts across our four pillars:
- Environment: Our UNGC commitment drives us to lead on climate action, preserve natural resources and ecosystems, and enhance product sustainability. Our ambitious targets include reaching net zero by 2045.
- Patients: Through our UNGC commitment, we deliver a truly patient-driven experience, enable access to good health, and drive innovation by ensuring the quality and safety of our products and improving access to healthcare in underserved regions.
- People: We take care of our teams and communities, nurturing and rewarding all talent, and embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion. This fosters a positive work environment and empowers our employees.
- Governance: We are dedicated to acting with integrity and responsibility, ensuring ethical and compliant conduct, and responsible management by strengthening our governance framework and building trust with all stakeholders.
Through our Generation Ipsen sustainability strategy, we’re not just shaping a future we can be proud of, we’re making a positive impact today. Together, we’re building a better world for generations to come.
