Keira was appointed Executive Vice President and President of North America in May 2024.
Keira leads the company’s business units in the region and has strategic oversight of all functional operations in both the U.S. and Canada. Keira also serves as a member of Ipsen’s Executive Leadership Team.
Keira joined Ipsen from AstraZeneca, where she spent 13 years leading teams across the United States, Europe and global functions. She served as Country President for Belgium and Luxembourg, where she oversaw 14 launches across various therapeutic areas — leading AZ to become the fastest growing pharma company in Belgium. Previously, she served as VP, Global Commercial Head for Tagrisso across more than 90 countries. She also spent more than five years in AZ’s U.S. Oncology business leading multiple sales and marketing teams through six launches.
A former science researcher, Keira brings broad experience from across the healthcare industry, from commercial leadership to healthcare investing and business development. Keira serves on the Board of Directors of MassBio, the Association of Marshall Scholars and the Beauvoir School. She is also a member of the Life Science Cares Boston Board of Advisors and previously served on the Boards of the AstraZeneca Foundation, Alexion Belgium and Pharma.be.
Keira received her MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. Keira also conducted breast cancer epidemiology research at the University of Oxford as a Marshall Scholar and conducted biochemistry research at Yale under a Howard Hughes Medical Fellowship. Keira graduated summa cum laude from Yale College, receiving a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with concentrations in Molecular Biochemistry & Biophysics and Economics.
