IPSEN IS COMMITTED TO COLLABORATIVE SUCCESS

“Partnerships are how we do business…
our current and future success depends on them.”
Pierre Boulud, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy

With a strong history of effective and results-oriented partnering, alliance collaboration is a mainstay of how Ipsen operates. As a mid-sized company we are uniquely placed to meet and adapt to the requirements of our partners. In addition to a team of experienced business development professionals, our senior leadership team is accessible and actively involved in moving projects forward. This structure allows fast-track decision making, visibility to resource allocation, and encourages an innovative and flexible approach. Once a partnership is created, Ipsen has a full-time team devoted to alliance management for the USA, EU and Japan.

EXTENSIVE PARTNERSHIP EXPERIENCE PROVIDES A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE

“Partnering is a key component of our strategy.
We always have something to learn from our collaboration with partners,
and alliances challenge the organization in a healthy way by providing an external perspective.”
Christophe Jean, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Ipsen has formed successful deals as the larger partner, smaller partner and with partners of equal size. While a significant portion of Ipsen’s revenues are tied to US or UE alliances, a subset of Ipsen’s deals represent more local or regional agreements.

Ipsen’s partnering experience is evidenced through:

  • Agile dealmaking, demonstrating flexibility in deal structures
  • Development of successful alliance collaborations whatever the size of the partners
  • Long term alliance success; some collaborations are more than 25 years old
  • European-based partner with broad geographical infrastructure
  • Continuing to build on collaborative success; forged multiple agreements with several partners

“Ipsen's Research and Development
strives to organise networks that harness the scientific diversity of pharmas,
biotechs and academic institutions and combine this with our own discovery expertise.”
Claude Bertrand, Executive Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer

IPSEN CONTINUES TO SEEK NEW PARTNERSHIPS
